This is the primary protection method for TrusCont Enhanced DVD-R and replicated discs. It provides 100% copy protection against known hacking, cracking and copying methods. The disc cannot be copied even by 1:1 duplication, cloning software, virtual drives, and emulators. Any copies made will not work. This feature is not available for standard CD/DVD-R discs – see the silent activation feature.
Limit the use of a disc to pre-defined number of computers. The disc automatically activates and locks itself to each computer on the first use. TrusCont Enhanced DVD-R also allow you to limit the use of the disc to pre-defined number of users, or a network domain. This feature is not available for replicated discs.
This feature is available only for standard CD/DVD-R. The disc can be copied for backup purposes only. When a disc is used (either the original or a backup) all copies of the same disc are automatically activated and locked to the same computer. For example, you can limit your disc for use on 1 computer and the end user will never be able to use your protected files on more than 1 computer even if he makes multiple copies before using the original disc.

Not necessarily. TrusCont allows you to protect your files on standard CDs and DVDs using the alternative activation feature. With the activation feature you can limit the use of your files to one (or more) computers. Your customer can make copies of the files or disc, but the files will still be usable only on the same single computer (unless you permit the customer to use more than one computer).

Yes. TrusCont can protect video files such as AVI, MPEG, WAV, and MP4. The protected video files will play only on Windows based PCs. TrusCont is not suitable for protecting VOB files (DVD-Video discs).
Yes. With TrusCont DVD copy protection you can set expiration dates on software and data files. You can even set a different expiration date for each file, or each group of files. Following the expiration date the protected files will no longer be accessible.
No. TrusCont protected files are readable only on computers running Windows operating systems.
